Tired of Achy Hip Pain?
Here's what might be going on.

What is FAI?
FAI happens when extra bone grows on either the ball or socket of your hip joint. This reduces the space your hip has to move, causing the ball and socket to “pinch” nearby muscles or tissues.
The result? A sharp pain or lingering ache that can limit your ability to:
Cross your legs
Squat
Climb stairs
Get in and out of your car
Many people with FAI also notice a gradual loss of range of motion over time. It’s a chronic condition that typically develops slowly, without a single triggering event.
Why is FAI Often Misdiagnosed?
Because it mimics other conditions, FAI is frequently misdiagnosed as:
Arthritis
Hip flexor strain
Groin strain
Hernia
Each of these requires a different treatment approach, so getting an accurate diagnosis is critical to resolving the pain for good.
